The reason we’ve been able to explore so much of Australia is due to this beast. It has taken us to destinations that most people can only dream about visiting. It has pulled us out of many muddy situations, and it has kept us safe and warm in torrential weather. Yes, it’s not invincible, and we’ve certainly had our share of dramas out on the tracks but being an older truck it’s mostly mechanical (minimal electronics) and thankfully, most things can be fixed even when we’re stuck in remote sections of the Australian desert. From seized wheel bearings to a cracked diff, the Rig is still going strong and has many more roads to travel along.
